The History of Latin Fashion Awards

 

Founded in 2009, the Latin Fashion Awards began as a grassroots movement to highlight underrepresented Latinx talent. What started as a small showcase has grown into an internationally recognized event, featured in the Washington Post, Humbre, Entertainment Tonight, Hoy, Mujer de New York Times and NY Weekly and more.

Key milestones:

• 2011: First awards ceremony in Washington DC.

• 2022: Expanded to include New Categories.

• 2023: Partnered with Major Brand Xfinity Comcast.
